About

I’ve grown up on the East Coast of the United States and am in my 3rd year of college.  College has been an exciting journey leading me to explore old interests as well as find my way to new ones.  Photography is both the old and the new.  I’ve always appreciated the artistic abilities displayed through pictures and was exposed to professional photography at a young age (my grandfather travels around the country taking pictures for calendars, cards, and the like).  My problem was I never had the tools to really explore and experiment with it.  That all changed on my birthday. My boyfriend gave me a Diana F+! It’s a clone of the 1960s film camera that takes a sort of “blurry” and “dreamy” picture.  I researched it and am still attempting to figure out its unique quirks.  I also saved up and got an old Minolta SRT-200 film camera from the 1960s. And for my 20th birthday, my family gave me a Canon T1i. Photography has become a way to express myself and has become an incredible hobby that I hope will last a lifetime.  I created this blog to help me document my journey.  I hope you enjoy following my experiences as much as I enjoy having them.
