Fancies
Here are some recent fancies for the upcoming summer months!
{1}: I've been looking everywhere for the perfect dress with the perfect Peter Pan Collar. I have yet to find it....
{2}: In Big Cities, there is so much to do! I'm going whitewater rafting tomorrow and then in a week my sister and I are going to a massive concert.
{3}: I've been living in my jean shorts and tank tops! It's too hot to wear anything else.
{4}: The Helvetica font is always a classic favorite. I really want that cup and book!

Flickr Favs
Aren't these photos just gorgeous? They are so vintage-inspired I want to die. Vintage-inspired things have become an obsession of mine. From bedding and curtains to shoes and jewelry, I love it all! These pictures also remind me of the spring time and being outside. It's so sad spring is almost over. I feel like it just started.
Happy Friday and have a lovely weekend! I'll be busy going to some local thrift stores and I couldn't be more excited!

From a Weekend
Happy Monday! My aunt's wedding was last Saturday. It was so cute but SO HOT. The reception was outside in the middle of the day so there were tons of bugs and it was so humid. Note to self: Never have an outdoor wedding in the summer. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera charger, so I didn't get ANY pictures! This is the only picture I got of my weekend. Hope you like my random peace sign :)

Macaroons, Paris, Ruffles, & Pearls
I found this lookbook for Wildfox magazine and fell in love. The whole collection is so 18th century France with a modern twist. It's so fun loving and quirky. I wish I could pull off that pink hair. Or the facial expression of the girl in the picture below. I would make that face too if I had a bunch of delicious sweets in front me. I would also love to live in that house with all the jewels and columns and fancy furniture.

Surf's Up
Oh how I would love to be at the beach right now listening to the waves, feeling the sand in my toes, tasting the salt water, and watching the sun set over the horizon. The beach makes all the senses come alive, and as I find my way into the busy city life, it seems my senses are muted. Without grass, trees, flowers, birds, or bees, somethings seems to be missing. It's a good thing I'm going home for my aunt's wedding on Friday! I need my little country town for a weekend.

A Day at the Market
I decided to explore the city today and boy was it so much fun! Normally, I don't like doing things on my own, but today I put my big girl pants on and went to some farmers markets this morning and then visited some little antique shops after a short coffee break of course. Even though I only ended up with a peck of peaches (which are to die for by the way) after a jam packed day, I still had a lot of fun exploring the different parts of the city. I'm actually starting to learn my way around, so I may not have to use my GPS all the time anymore!

I'm having a blast with Photoshop. I've been making so many little layouts and labels. It's so much fun!! I found this amazing blog called Pugly Pixel that has a bunch of free downloads from these shipping tags to pictures of macaroons to blog layouts. There are also a bunch of tutorials on Photoshop techniques as well as blogger help. Every time I visit I find something new! I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Out & About
I have officially moved into my apartment in Charlotte, NC, and started my internship. I couldn't be more excited. I've been here for less than a week, but I'm already in love with this city. Growing up in a small town, I never got to experience BIG city living. Yes, I've been to New York City, London, and the like but that was only to visit, and I used taxis whenever I need to go anywhere. Here, I have to drive myself to the grocery store and to work and I get lost ALL the time. This is also my first time living by myself which was a daunting reality for me when I got here, but it turns out I'm really enjoying myself. The big, bad adult world isn't that horrible!
So today I had the day off, so I did some exploring! I documented my adventures with my iPhone (I am a local now so I thought a camera would be too touristy)

{d}: I went to Barnes and Noble. I ended up with fashion magazines and a new cookbook...typical
